May Elder Update

Kirt Boudreau

Below is a summary of what was shared with the congregation on May 18, 2025. Each month, our elders provide notable updates across key areas of church life.

Finances

We’re thankful to report that giving is on track and we’re right on budget, thank you, church family! Your generosity fuels the mission and ministry of Trinity, and we’re grateful for the way God is using your faithfulness.

Looking ahead, we’ll begin working on the budget for the next fiscal year, which runs from July to June. Please be on the lookout for details about a congregational budget review meeting later this summer.

Facilities

No major updates yet, but progress is happening behind the scenes. Architects have been on site taking measurements as we begin exploring options for eventually replacing our temporary buildings. This is a significant and prayerful process, and we’re seeking God’s wisdom. Please continue to pray with us.

With summer approaching, one of our higher maintenance costs is air conditioning. Please join us in praying that our AC systems continue to function well during the summer.

We’re also planning to add several courtesy parking spots near the building for those who may need a shorter walk. These will be in addition to our existing handicap-accessible spaces.

Staff

Our staff recently attended the Church Leaders Conference, a valuable time of encouragement, equipping, and growth. Ministry leaders: be watching for invitations to next year’s event!

Also, please keep Jodi, Zach, and Tyler in your prayers as they continue their seminary studies this semester.

Ministry

Summer Bible studies are underway for both adults and youth. These are great opportunities to stay connected and continue growing in your faith throughout the summer.

Our church continues to show encouraging signs of growth and spiritual commitment. We’ve celebrated 19 baptisms so far this year! And since our last new member announcement, two more families have officially joined, with seven additional families currently in the membership process. We look forward to introducing them to the congregation soon.

Missions

Though political challenges and post-COVID conditions have prevented us from returning to Haiti, we’re finding new ways to stay connected with Pastor Calixte and our sister church in Picou. A video call is in the works—especially meaningful for those who’ve served in Haiti in the past.

We also received a video update: their congregation has grown to 400 and they’re working on important building improvements. Our Missions Committee is continuing to monitor their needs.

And here’s something truly special to celebrate: the Missions Committee has approved a gift of $24,400 toward a partnership between CAN and Young Life Camp in Liberia!

From Eric:

“The vision for 2025 alone is to reach over 17,000 adolescents with the Gospel of Jesus Christ across Liberia, with expectations for continued growth each year. I am thrilled to inform you that following the signing of our partnership agreement with Young Life Liberia, we have scheduled our first two outreach youth camps in Ganta and Gbarnga at the end of this month. These camps will share the Gospel with over 470 young people from these regions and surrounding communities.”

God is at work, here at Trinity and across the globe. Thank you for being part of this mission with us.
