How to Use This Plan
Each weekday morning during your devotional time, read the assigned passage slowly, twice if you can. Then work through the four HEAR movements in your journal asking God for the His Spirit's help.
H: Highlight. Let a particular verse or phrase come into focus. Read patiently and notice what the Spirit brings to your attention.
E: Explain. Clarify and articulate what the verse means. What is it saying in its context? Write it in your own words as a way to bring about comprehension.
A: Apply. How does this truth, promise, or command speak to your life right now? (ie. your character, your relationships, your work in the internship or elsewhere?)
R: Respond. Where can you act in faith specifically and today? Name one concrete step, then close in prayer.
The goal is hearing from God. We walk with God by faith in His guidance.
Preparing for Wednesday Nights: Bring your journal and be ready to answer “What did God do this week?”
