Below you can find our Staff and Leader Values as TBC leaders.
Follow Jesus first
Before we are professionals who lead a church we are disciples who follow Jesus. We don’t lead by becoming a lord over others. Our leadership is established by our obedience to follow after Jesus and be servants of all. We declare Jesus as the head of our church and abide in him. We believe Jesus when He says that apart from Him we can do nothing.
Bring others along
We trust God’s plan for his church by taking on the task of identifying, encouraging, equipping, and entrusting others to do ministry with us. We recognize everyone has been given a gift to build up the church and it’s our responsibility to cultivate that in others.
It’s all about spiritual growth
When it comes to our purpose, and our “Why?” Jesus hasn’t left us aimless or “as orphans” without his care. He’s made his mission for us known and promised to be with us to see it through. All of our efforts and aims are tethered to our call to make disciples. We know our purpose: To cultivate God’s growth! We recognize every believer's destiny is to be formed into His image and we work and evaluate our work to that end!
Multiple People, One Purpose (Different but the Same)
We recognize our differences and unique gifts, but remember we are on the same team with the same purpose. We all bring different gifts, experiences and perspectives to the team. We don’t expect to always agree but to use our differences to sharpen one another and accomplish more than we could alone. We seek to Encourage one another to be faithful, Show grace and mercy, Speak the truth in love, Be vulnerable and authentic.
